Offered is a copy of Barbara Myers' 1976 cookbook GREAT DINNER PARTIES, which advertises menus and recipes for dinners for four to sixteen people. A unique cookbook that shows exactly how to plan and give successful dinner parties for any number of guests, designed with meticulous attention to detail, with an array of recipes covering the great cuisines of the world; all problems of quantities and altering recipes are eliminated. The boards and spine are covered with some butterscotch colored material, the covers plain, the spine decorated with black text. The jacket is decorated on the front, with text surrounding the makings of a dinner party, the spine with text and the back with sample menus. Approximately 5 3/4" x 8 1/2" with 256 pages, mostly recipes and advice.
The book shows a little wear at the lower corners (thus the acceptable grade, otherwise it would be good), the spine is banged a little (likely the book was dropped). Otherwise the pages are surprisingly clean and the binding firm. The dust jacket is in fairly good condition as well, though there are a couple of small tears and folds along the edges and some discoloring on the inside where the paper wraps the spine and covers. This is the book club edition of this book, stated on the dust jacket.
