On March 30, 1996,The Lab of San Francisco's Mission District presented Filthworld Expo '96, an event with several different aspects. Music was provided by Deerhoof, Bringdown Country, Comode Minstels in Bullface, and Los Dos Super-Elegantes. The poster encourages attendees to visit the "Wonders of Science Exhibit," and to "Marvel at the Freak Tent." The list of those with performances and installation are Bucky Sinister, Carolyn Castano, Joe Donohoe, Dominique Lowell, Lilith the Snake Lady, Wendy Bell, Matso, Rigo 96, Mother Fakir, Christine Shields, Fadef, Donald the Nut, Nai Bustamante, Bob Madigan, Nelson, Celeste, The Fake Picabia Bros., Deemen, Liisa Pine, Vince Oresman, Michael Peppe and Steve Parr.
This poster is new, never displayed, and has no holes or tears. There is some dirt on the back, a little along the bottom of the front, and a very small ding on the lower left corner. The dirt should be easy to clean, possibly with a damp cloth. None of these take much away from the poster's appearance.
Measuring approximately 11" x 17.5", the poster is on very heavy matte stock - heavier than most card stock.
