REGGAE RAM JAM 94 featured 3 bands: The Itals, Sister I-Live & Out of Many One Band, and Fenton & the Reggae Angels, with special guests Tito Caleto & Danny Spencer. This poster is advertising for two shows: on Thursday, Dec 15 at the DNA Lounge in San Francisco, and on Saturday, Dec 17 at the Phoenix Theater in Petaluma, CA.
This poster is taken from a telephone pole in San Francisco in 1994, and there are holes where two staples were used for hanging it; the staple on the right caused a zig zag tear about 3/8" long on the longer of two sides, maybe 1/4" on the other. There is a little dirt on the poster right under the R in Reggae, which could probably be removed with light pencil eraser use. In the process of taking the poster down, a few creases were made; one running vertically where the staple on the right was, one running vertically near the center from the top about 3/4 of the way toward the bottom, and one on the right running from the edge about 2" long into the picture of the Itals. Due to the nature of the materials used, the creases aren't immediately obvious, same for the left-hand staple hole. The staple damage to the right could probably be repaired; in a frame most of the damage would be less obvious because very little paper is missing. Measures 11" x 17", printed in black ink using half-tones (like pictures in newsprint) on matte finished light yellow card stock.
