In 1993 psychedelic poster great Stanley Mouse was suffering liver failure, the fallout of Hepatitis C. Bay Area artists came together in an effort to raise some of the money he would need to get a transplant, and this is an original flyer used to announce the event. This flyer, printed by Regent Press with multicolored ink, graded from orange to blue, was left in public places around the Bay Area as advertising. The flyer is pristine; this version is on regular paper, maybe 20 pound paper.
I was asked by the promoter to hang posters around the city, and leave flyers in appropriate areas to publicise the event. As is usually the case, I still had a small stack of materials left over, which I put away. This is an authentic, original flyer from the 1993 show.
The concert advertised was a two day event spanning June 4 & 5, 1993, at the Bridge in San Francisco, featuring the music of The Dinosaurs,Zero, Morrison Hotel, Peter Rowan & the Rowan Brothers, members of Big Brother & the Holding Co., The Jerry Miller Band and x members of Moby Grape, New Riders of the Purple Sage, Clan Dyken, Strictly Roots, Lisa Kindred & friends, George Michalski & Kristina Kopriva, Mitch Holman, Mark Naftalin and Naomi Ruth Eisenberg.
