For sale is a copy of Henry Fosbrooke's book, a survival special on African Wildlife, NGORONGORO: THE EIGHTH WONDER. This book is a stated second impression, which seems to indicate a first edition, but a second printing. Medium blue cloth covers the boards and the spine, covered by the same cloth, is decorated with gilt text; the end papers are illustrated with a map of the region being discussed. Survival books were published in close association with Anglia Television's Natural History Unit who made the 'Survival' series of television documentaries on wildlife. Approximately 5 5/8" x 8 1/2", with 240 pages, with many illustrations both black and white and color. There is a foreword by Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands.
The book is in very good condition with a few issues to consider: there is some foxing at the top of the pages, a little down the side, on the first title page (not the official Title Page) a very small amount of writing in pencil. It appears that the top of the spine has suffered a bang. These aside, the inside pages are clean, the binding tight. The dust jacket is in great condition, though it did suffer some wrinkles and folds at the top of the spine when that was damaged.
